A 10-MONTH MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR WORLDPAY
When the business was acquired from RBS in 2010, WorldPay – the UK and Europe’s number one card payment processor – needed to develop its own learning and development programmes in line with the new company values and culture.
In response to employee research and focus groups, the business identified that there was a need to develop a consistent approach to leadership and management development programmes; addressing the lack of management skills within the business; and differences in leadership styles.
A number of management levels were identified as requiring support and development, so we were asked to design and deliver a programme for their team managers.
Aimed at supervisors, team and section leaders who were new to their role or who had little or no previous development in people management, we delivered a 10-month team management programme. This was specifically designed to help operational team managers develop the skills and knowledge to manage and deliver results through their people.
